hey Admin: We will continue to pump carbon into the air whether we have wind or not. Have you noticed that the wind doesn't blow all the time? What do you think we use for backup when we want to use our refrigerator? You've not been paying attention to the U.S. debate either. There are acres and acres of wind turbines sitting idle in Texas and California. Our response to the energy problem we now have must be conservation -- not throwing money at inefficient wind turbines.

Without "wind (and other renewables)" we continue to burn coal and pump carbon into the air, we continue to dam wild rivers and destroy entire ecosystems, and we continue to generate nuclear waste that will be problematic for generations. But hey, let's not rush into this wind thing, somebody might get a headache. The fact that this debate is even happening in Ontario is embarrassing. Even the US has been more progressive about this.

That is a very good question. Regrettably, until world governments finally admit that industrial wind turbines are not the answer to our energy problems, and redirect the billions of dollars they are currently using to subsidize this form of inefficient energy towards researching green energy that actually works, we will not know the answer.

Interesting... but if not wind (and other renewables), then what's the alternative?

Well hello Doreen Darling.

It's Dan Bailey here. One of your cameramen during your production of The Camping Show. Lots of great memories working at the Pinery that year. Hope all is well with you. Unfortunately I don't know where Peter is these days. I do know that he certainly isn't at CTV. Don Wilcox is enjoying retirement. I'll probably see him soon as I've been requested to photograph some family images with him and his grand kids. Another cameraman John Arajs who also worked on the show passed away a few years ago. I'm still in touch with Jeff and the last I heard Kelly was still with the CBC NEWS in Calgary. Drop me a line and let me know how things are.

Great to hear from you.

I wasn't sure how else to contact you but was hoping we could connect. I believe that we may have some relatives in common. Most of the Fawcett's at the Tara Cemetery are connected to my family. If interested, would you please contact me at above email. Thanks a lot.
